This season we invite you to take part in an enthralling musical voyage that will take you from Gluck's Orpheus to a world first by Karol Beffa, our talented resident composer.
Tugan Sokhiev will be pursuing the Brahms cycle (2nd and 3rd symphonies, Concerto for violin and 2nd concerto for piano); he'll also be conducting masterpieces of Russian music (Rachmaninov's 2nd symphony, Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony, Chostakovich, Prokofiev, Stravinski's Petrushka…), not forgetting the loveliest works of the classical and romantic repertoire: Beethoven's 7th symphony and Verdi's Requiem.
Our privileged guest conductors Joseph Swensen, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Jaap van Zweden will be giving their fascinating interpretation of masterpieces by Strauss, Beethoven and Mahler. Also present this season at the Halle aux Grains are talented new-generation conductors such as Ilan Volkov, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Ludovic Morlot, Tomas Netopil, and last but not least, the enthusiastic and passionate Jean-Christophe Spinosi.
The greatest soloists will also be present at these event concerts: Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Truls Mork, Stephen Kovacevich, Renaud Capuçon, Vadim Repin, Julia Fischer, Nelson Freire, Hélène Grimaud…
Come and share these very precious moments with Tugan Sokhiev, the musicians of the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and their prestigious guests…
